During my first semester at Miami, a professor I worked with was kind enough to take me to Everglades National Park (He probably felt sorry for the homesick teenager fresh out of high school). The trip turned out to be fantastic and really informative. I returned to the park a second time to tour the area on an air boat! And finally, I visited the park for a 3rd time on New Year's Day 2006. We entered the park from the Homestad entrance which offered me yet another perspective of this park.
