Our last side trip during the drive cross-country from FL to CA was to Death Valley NP. Neither of us had any grand expectations for this park, but thought we may as well make an effort to visit it while we were out that way. WOW! We loved it! So far, this is probably my most favorite park. We didn't spend much time there, just a quick bisection of the part from E to W along hwy 190. We will definitely go back to spend more time there ... in the winter, of course!
