The famed 18th hole.

This is the 7th hole. It is something like 70 yards to the green from the tee, all downhill. I'm sure many a ball has been launched out into the ocean -- lots of new toys for curious sea otters! :-p

During the 2006 AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach a colleague gave me a free ticket to view the practice rounds. I spent an afternoon there watching the end of the celebrity challenge and strolling around a majority of the course. It was a gorgeous day ... very un-Monterey-like. I got to see quite a few celebrities around the green of hole 18. Several stars came out to golf a quick 5 holes to raise money for local charities. There were quite a few in attendance, but I managed to catch glimpses of Ray Romano, Michael Bolton, Andy Garcia, Samuel L. Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Bill Murray, and George Lopez.
