A California State Reserve, Point Lobos is located just south of Carmel along Hwy 1. Its a beautiful rocky segment of coast teeming with life at its banks and laden with trails for casual hiking just offshore. The views are magnificent.

To me its very strange to see Canadian Geese and deer right on the ocean's edge. Its pretty common here. I suppose where the grass is green, they'll find it.

China Cove -- one of several pristine, sheltered beaches tucked away amid the rocky coast line.

Seals love the protected rocks along Point Lobos for sunning! Its so cute watching them get up there, then really sad when a big wave washes through and whipes them off.
