During a trip to Montreal to visit Leslie, Stephen, and Elizabeth, we decided to drive to Vermont and New Hampshire for the day to cross two more highpoints off of my list. We knew the day would be long but we weren't quite prepared for the difficulty of Cliff Trail, the 0.7 mile trail that takes you from the top of the gondola ride to Long Trail, the trail that traverses the ridge and takes you to the highpoint. None of the guidebooks I referenced indicated anymore about the trail than distance. Cliff Trail is easily class 3 in many places. When you've got a 2 year old toddler on her daddy's back, the situation immediately becomes compounded!
