Climbing Trips
 Summersville Lake
For the 4th of July long weekend Mike and I traveled to West Virginia w/ Pete to climb at the New River Gorge. We stayed on a farm that belongs to his friends Paul and Lauren. Rain cut our climbing days in half. We managed to put some time in at Orange Oswald at Summersville Lake, a northern extension of the famous New River Gorge climbing.
I'd never climbed at NRG before and it proved tough. The rock quality is great, but the routes are steep and pumpy. I'm better suited for the delicate crimpy style of climbing. We started off the day by leading Hippie Dreams. Then we followed up on Souled Out and Chunko Goes Bowling. Mike got a few pictures of me taking on Chunko Goes Bowling.
