Climbing Trips
 Ouray, CO - December 2002
Ouray Ice Park is a natural gorge/gulch/gulley in southwest Colorado, just north of Telluride. The park is situated such that it naturally lends itself to "man-made" ice flows (large pipes of water line the upper reaches of gorge and every night water is released to reform the flows after a days use of climbing). This park is well-maintained and the safety of the top rope anchors in a majority of the park makes it feel like you're climbing in an outdoor gym!
The School House
This area, the School House, is where we climbed. This region is for more of the beginner to amatuer ice climbers and consists mainly of WI2 to WI3 ratings.
