Drawstring Baggie
I made this little bag for a cycling friend that broke her hip when she rammed into a stantion along the Monterey recreation trail. This was dubbed her FFSK - Femur Fracture Survival Kit!
I used US 10 (6.0 mm) needles and red and white acrylic yarns.
Cast on 60 stitches
Work in stockinette stitch (one row knit, one row purl) for 7"
Knit 4 rows
Knit 1, * yarn over, knit 2 together; repeat from * to final stitch, knit 1
Knit 3 rows
Bind off
Fold the bag in half with the row of holes at the top and "right" sides together. Sew the sides and bottom using backstitch. Turn the bag right-side out.
To create the drawstring, I just braided together 2 pieces of one color and 1 piece of another color.
