Lauren Audrey Braman
Lauren Audrey Braman, 16, peacefully completed her six-month battle with leukemia on July 31, 2006, at Akron Children's Hospital. She was surrounded by her family as she joined the Church Triumphant. Lauren is survived by her parents, Dr. Kenneth and Cristine Braman; brother, Kory (11), and sister, Kelsey (9) of Copley; grandparents, Kenneth Sr. and Joann Braman of Norton, and Howard and Sylvia Johnson of New Franklin; aunts, Nada Braman and Lynn Grimm; uncles, Steven Braman, Jay Johnson, and Todd Johnson; cousins, Erin, Jack, Vanessa, and Juliana; and extended family and friends too numerous to count.
Lauren completed her sophomore year at Copley High School despite her illness, via tutoring. She was a member of National Honor Society, Copley High School marching, concert, jazz, and pep bands, Key Club, and German Club. She was also a member of the youth group of Fairlawn Lutheran Church and served on its Student Leadership Development Team.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, at Fairlawn Lutheran Church, 3415 W. Market St., Fairlawn. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Fairlawn Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Charles Lentner officiating. Please come to all services dressed in bright colors, as Lauren would have loved. Interment will be at the Copley Township Cemetery. The gravesite ceremony will be limited to family only. A reception celebrating Lauren's life will be held following the funeral at the Copley High School Commons, 3797 Ridgewood Rd., Copley.
