Quotations on Optimism
What difference does it make if we see a glass as half-full or half empty? In both cases, the water level is exactly midway between the top and bottom. So what do you gain by seeing the glass as half-full? You begin to believe that it will become even more full. You see the world in a more positive light, and put your mind at ease. You begin to have faith that your side will win...that you can achieve what you want to achieve. That's good. Just make sure that you don't see the glass as half-full when it's really only one-tenth full!
